Consent to Collect and Use Personal Information
In accordance with the Privacy Act, we would like to inform you about the items of personal information collected, the purpose of collection and use, the retention and use period, and the rights to refuse consent and the disadvantages of refusal for those applying to join as a member of Link soft. Please read it carefully and give your consent.
Collected personal information
Users can access most Link soft services such as information search and news viewing without signing up, just like members. However, if a user decides to sign up for a personalized or membership service like Link coach link zone, Link soft will collect only the minimum personal information necessary for service use.
The personal information Link soft collects from users at the time of registration is as follows.
1. When signing up, 'ID, password, name, date of birth, gender, and mobile phone number' are collected as required fields. If the date of birth entered indicates the user is a child under 14, additional information of the legal guardian (name, date of birth, gender, duplicate registration check information (DI), and mobile phone number) will be collected. Email addresses and profile information are collected as optional fields.
2. For group ID registration, group ID, password, group name, email address, and mobile phone number are collected as required fields. The name of the group representative is collected as an optional field.
The personal information collected from users during service use is as follows.
During the use of individual services or when entering events and applying for prizes within Link soft, additional personal information may be collected from users of that particular service. If additional personal information needs to be collected, users will be informed and asked for consent at the point of collection regarding 'the items of personal information being collected, the purpose of collecting and using the personal information, and the storage period of the personal information.'
During service use, IP addresses, cookies, service usage records, device information, and location information may be generated and collected. Also, images or voices may be collected for services using image or voice search.
Specifically, 1) information about the user may be automatically generated and stored (collected) during service use, or 2) unique information from the user's device may be securely converted and collected in a way that does not reveal the original value.
Location information may be collected during service use, and the location-based services provided by Link soft are specifically defined in the 'Link soft Location Information Usage Terms.' The collected information can be considered personal information depending on whether it is linked to personal information, and it may not be considered personal information otherwise.
Use of Collected Personal Information
We use personal information only for the purposes listed below, such as member management for Link soft and its related services (including mobile web/app), service development, provision and enhancement, and creating a safe internet environment.
1. We use personal information for member management, such as confirming membership intention, verifying age and obtaining legal guardian consent, verifying identity of users and legal guardians, identifying users, and confirming account deletion intentions.
2. In addition to providing existing services (including advertisements), we use personal information for demographic analysis, analyzing service visits and usage records, forming user relationships based on personal information and interests, providing customized services based on acquaintances and interests to discover new service elements and enhance existing services.
3. We use personal information to protect and operate the service, such as imposing usage restrictions on members who violate laws or the Link soft terms of use, preventing and sanctioning acts that interfere with smooth service operation, including misuse, account theft, and improper transactions, delivering notices such as terms amendments, keeping records for dispute resolution, and handling complaints.
4. We use personal information for identity verification, purchasing, fee payment, and delivery of products and services related to paid service provision.
5. We use personal information for marketing and promotional purposes, such as providing event information and participation opportunities, and advertising information.
6. We use personal information to analyze service usage records and access frequency, generate statistics on service use, provide customized services and advertisements based on service analysis, and statistics.
7. We use personal information to provide a service usage environment that users can trust in terms of security, privacy, and safety.
Retention period of personal information
In principle, the company promptly destroys the user's personal information upon membership withdrawal.
However, if separate consent is obtained from the user regarding the personal information retention period, or if a certain period is mandated by law, personal information will be securely retained during that period. Cases where consent on personal information retention period is obtained at the time of membership registration or service sign-up are as follows.
1. Prevention of fraudulent registration and use: Phone number for authentication of fraudulent users or DI (DI of legal guardian for users under 14): Retained for 6 months from the withdrawal date. Phone number of withdrawn users (one-way encrypted hash that cannot be decrypted): Retained for 6 months from the withdrawal date.
2. Response to QR code recovery requests: QR code registration information: Retained for 6 months from the deletion point.
3. Dispute resolution and customer inquiry responses in Link soft (Link coach, Link zone): Phone number: Up to 1 year from the date of registration/modification/deletion request.
4. Prevention of duplicate benefits in Link soft services: DI processed with encryption (hash processing): Retained for 6 months from the end date of benefits provision.
5. Re-registration application and prevention of fraudulent use in Link soft (Link coach, Link zone): ID: Retained for 6 months after service withdrawal. Registration information for Link soft (Link coach, Link zone) service and Link soft (Link coach, Link zone) center: Retained for 6 months from the application date (30 days if rejected).
Cases where laws such as the Consumer Protection Act in Electronic Commerce, Electronic Financial Transaction Act, and Protection of Communications Secrets Act stipulate the retention period of information are as follows. Link soft retains personal information according to legal regulations during this period and absolutely does not use this information for other purposes.
1. Consumer Protection Act in Electronic Commerce: Records related to contracts or withdrawal of offers: Retained for 5 years. Records related to payment settlement and supply of goods, etc.: Retained for 5 years. Records related to consumer complaints or dispute resolution: Retained for 3 years.
2. Basic Act on Electronic Documents and Electronic Transactions: Records on the distribution of electronic documents via certified electronic addresses: Retained for 10 years.
3. Protection of Communications Secrets Act: Login records: Retained for 3 months.
For reference, Link soft separates and manages the personal information of members who have not used the service for 1 year in accordance with the 'Personal Information Validity Period System'.
You have the right to refuse consent for the collection and use of personal information.
Users have the right to refuse the collection and use of their personal information. If you refuse to consent to the collection and use of the minimal personal information collected during registration, that is, the required items, it may be difficult to sign up.
