Any woman can relate.
Periods are those days when your body doesn't listen and your mind doesn’t follow.
It's those days when you end up pretending all day that you're 'fine'.
At this meetup,
we met with Kim Dojin, the CEO of Happy Monday,
a brand that aims to make periods more comfortable and
helps women keep their own rhythm.

“I wanted to make periods an easy experience”
The motivation behind creating Happy Monday
started with Dojin's encounter with stories of teens substituting sanitary pads with insoles because they had no access to them.
“It was shocking to know that people struggled because something so necessary wasn't available.
And it wasn’t just their problem; when I looked back at myself,
I realized I hadn’t known much about periods and had simply resigned myself to many inconveniences. In reality, most women just live like that.
This realization led to the creation of Happy Monday as a company that addresses this issue.”
That realization soon became 'action'.
A brand that transforms periods from inconvenience into 'time to care for oneself',
thus, Happy Monday was born.
Two core values Dojin doesn't want to lose
One is that our company (Happy Monday) "exists for women".
I believe that is the value and reason our company exists in this society.
That's one thing I hope we never forget or lose.
Secondly, let’s not harm anyone’s spirit
Whether it's those who work with us, those who use our products and services, or myself,
let’s avoid harming anyone’s spirit in the process.
These two are the core values I hold dear.
Dojin's survival method
I try to take breaks whenever I can.
Eight years ago, I had no time to think about rest.
Back then, I worked almost every weekend and thought that was how it should be.
But after around four years, I hit a crisis. I couldn't keep sprinting at full speed as if running a short distance race.
So, for the first time, I took a long vacation.
When I returned, I realized there wasn’t any major issue at the company.
I came to understand that I didn't need to be so anxious, and from then on,
it wasn’t about doing a lot of work but maintaining a good state so I wouldn’t miss making good and necessary decisions.
Maintaining a good balance of rest became something I realized I was responsible for.
The image of Happy Monday brand wants to be remembered by people
I hope women all over the world find and maintain their rhythm and live lives where they realize their potential.
Our dream is for Happy Monday to be a brand that consistently accompanies them throughout all those life stages, from their first period to menopause.
