Located in Seohyeon-dong, Bundang, Bundang CrossFit Lounge (BCL) chose the name “Lounge” with a simple idea: people should feel welcome to stay, share coffee, and connect even after the workout ends.
Its beginner-friendly coaching, varied weekly classes, and seven-day trial all reflect the same goal—giving members enough time to experience both the training and the community. LINKO MEET spoke with BCL owner Jonghyun Kim about the thinking behind it.

Why Put “Lounge” in the Gym’s Name?
The BCL owner wanted to create a place where people could stay and grow closer even after training.
“The workout ends. The people stay.”
That was the image behind the name “Lounge”: a comfortable gathering place where members could sit together and talk after class, much like a hotel lounge.
The lounge table inside the gym reflects that idea. Members can enjoy coffee, share food, and spend time together. The owner also wanted the space to feel young, lively, and full of energy.
At BCL, the workout may end when class finishes, but the time shared with others can continue.
How Can Beginners Join a Class?
BCL focuses on adapting movements and intensity so beginners can participate comfortably and enjoy the workout.
Located near Bundang’s business district, the gym welcomes many office workers who spend long hours sitting. The owner understands that starting any new workout—not only CrossFit—can feel intimidating.
That is why every member is not expected to perform the same movements at the same intensity. Coaches scale each workout to the member’s current ability and help them discover the enjoyment of training.
“If it isn’t fun, it’s hard to keep going.”
For the owner, enjoyment is not an optional extra. It is essential to building a lasting fitness routine. If a member leaves the gym smiling, even once, he considers the day a success.
Different Classes Each Day, Full-Body Training Every Visit
BCL designs its weekly schedule around the reality that most members cannot train every day. Each class offers a different mix of cardio and strength while still providing a full-body workout.
ENGINE on Mondays and Wednesdays: Interval training inspired by HYROX and conditioning to develop full-body strength and cardiovascular endurance.
HYBRID on Tuesdays and Thursdays: Functional strength training combined with cardio.
TEAM RACE on Fridays: Team-based WODs that add competition, connection, and fun.
Each day has a different focus, but the program does not reserve one part of fitness for a single day. Even members who train only once or twice a week can get a full-body workout and experience something different each time they visit.
Why Offer a Seven-Day Trial?
BCL’s seven-day trial gives new members time to experience both its week-long training program and its community.
The owner sees every visitor as someone who could become a long-term member, so offering a full week does not feel excessive.
Because BCL runs a different program each day, one class cannot represent the entire experience. The trial allows visitors to explore several class formats throughout the week.
It also gives them time to meet the people behind the community. New members can experience how coaches teach, whether workouts can be adapted to their ability, and what the atmosphere feels like after class.
BCL wants visitors to experience it for themselves before deciding whether it is the right fit.
What Does BCL Hope to Build for the Long Term?
The BCL owner hopes members will enjoy working out and continue the relationships they build there.
Exercise may feel difficult at first. But members can begin with movements suited to their level, discover the fun of training, and gradually become comfortable with the people around them. Spending time at the lounge table after class is part of that journey.
The owner hopes people who want to enjoy movement will find BCL, become part of its culture, and value the connections they make there for years to come.
The Workout Ends. The People Stay.
The name “Lounge” captures the experience BCL wants to create.
Beginners can start with movements and intensity suited to their level. Busy members can get a full-body workout regardless of which day they visit. After class, a space for coffee, conversation, and connection is waiting.
Start comfortably. Move with joy. Build connections that last.
